Crankshaft oil seal leak repair method

Many operators report that the oil seal on the crankshaft of the S1100 diesel engine (size 508012) cannot hold the oil. After replacing the new oil seal, it often takes less than one month to cause oil leakage. How to solve the oil spill problem? Here I recommend a simple approach: When replacing the new oil seal, set a rubber band at the new oil seal spring. Rubber bands should be smooth and sleek. If it feels too loose after being put on, it can be wrapped in a rubber band in two turns and then put it on, so that the oil seal lip and the crankshaft main journal close together, you can prevent oil leakage, but also to extend the service life of the oil seal 2 to 3 times.
