Pigs with different sources and weights are bred in groups and often suffer from biting and attack, which affects the healthy growth of pigs. According to the physiological characteristics of pigs, adopting an effective method in parallel to maintain a suitable breeding density and fully utilizing the equipment of the laps will help raise the efficiency of raising pigs.
Grouping principle Feeding pigs of similar origin, weight, body condition, temperament, and feeding, etc., should be reared in groups, managed in groups, and fed in separate tanks so as to ensure the normal growth and development of pigs. The difference in weight of the same group of pigs should not be too large. More than 3 to 5 kilograms, the shelf pig does not exceed 5 to 10 kilograms. After grouping, it should be relatively stable. Generally, it should not be arbitrarily changed.
Appropriate density generally accounts for 0.7 square meters of pen area per piglet and 1.2 square meters for finishing pigs. It is appropriate to use 10 to 15 heads of each group, and it is appropriate to increase the rearing density in winter and reduce the rearing density in summer.
The key to the group-parallel approach is to avoid biting each other at the beginning of the group. The following methods can be used:
(1) Weakness does not stay strong: the weaker pigs remain in the original circle, and the stronger pigs are called out.
(2) Do not dismantle and remove less: keep the pigs as few as possible and keep the number of pigs with fewer heads.
(3) The night is not married: The pigs in the group are sprayed with the same medicine so that the odors are not easily distinguishable and they are grouped at night.
(4) Coherent New Column: The number of pigs in the two groups is equal, and their strengths and weaknesses are equal, and they are transferred to the new pigsty at the same time.
(5) After the first-maturity, the two groups of pigs should be kept together in a larger playground, and then grouped together for 3-7 days.
(6) Scavenging and hunger: When the animals are hungry, the group is dismantled and fed immediately after the group. After the pigs have eaten and sated, each one sleeps well and does not invade each other.
Before the management team is strengthened, the pens must be cleaned and strictly sterilized. In the first few days after the gregarious period, we must strengthen feeding and management, and if we find biting or fighting, we must immediately stop and protect the bitten pigs until they are safe and in peace.
