Japan has developed "recovery of fatigue rice"

According to the "Yomiuri Shimbun" report, the Japanese Academy of Agricultural Biological Resources, Menchao, et al., through genetic recombination technology, have developed a new type of rice containing coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10), a chemical that has the function of restoring fatigue. Coenzyme Q10 promotes the rapid and efficient production of energy by human cells while also protecting mitochondria from free radicals. However, as the age increases, the amount of coenzyme Q10 synthesized in the human body will continue to decrease. Although rice and wheat contain similarly constructed coenzyme Q9, they do not contain coenzyme Q10, which is beneficial to humans. Mitochon et al. extracted the gene that produces the enzyme of Coenzyme Q10 from bacteria and introduced it into the rice gene. After cultivation, the rice containing Coenzyme Q10 was finally obtained. However, coenzyme Q10 is contained only in the germ of this rice, so that "recovery of fatigue rice" can only be eaten after making dark rice (germ rice).
