Lactating dairy cows

1. After the calving of dairy cows, the breasts often have edema during the period when the physical strength has not been fully restored. In this case, only a small amount of fine material can be fed. After 4 to 5 days postpartum, the dairy cow began to give a small amount of succulent feed. As the breasts became swollen and softened, the amount of succulent feed was gradually increased until it reached the standard dosage (usually 7 to 15 days). The lactation peak of dairy cows in the second lactation month, in order to give full play to their lactation capacity, can give adequate nutrient-rich feeds during the rising period of milk, until the milk no longer increases (about 10 to 15 days), and stop. This part gives more feed.

Second, must provide adequate drinking water for dairy cows. Constant water supply (free drinking water) can increase production by about 5% over regular drinking water. Generally cows need to drink 50-70 kilograms a day, high-yield cows need more than 100 kilograms.

Third, we must provide certain salt for dairy cow production. It is generally supplied at 5 grams per 100 kilograms of body weight. In addition, 2 grams of salt is added per kilogram of milk produced. You can also feed 2% of the mixed concentrate into the feed.

Fourth, the feed of dairy cows should be diversified as much as possible, secondly, it should be quantified regularly, and it should be gradually carried out when changing the type and quantity of feed. At the same time, observe the feed intake of the cow.

5. Do not squeeze the milk inside the breast 3 to 4 days after calving, so as not to cause postpartum paralysis. On the first day, they squeezed several times, squeezed 1 to 1.5 kilograms each time, squeezed 1/2 of the total volume the next day, squeezed 3/4 of the total volume on the third day, and squeezed dry on the fourth day.

Sixth, the dairy cows should be gentle, and they shouldn't snoring at random and avoid disturbing and visiting others.

7. Pay attention to breast protection, pay attention to observation, find abnormal changes, and take timely measures.

8. Brushing the cow before milking each time can not only promote blood circulation, make humans and livestock friendly, but also ensure milk quality.

In the spring and summer, hoofs should be given to the cattle once. Keep the cow bed clean and dry so as not to deform the cow's hoof.

In the summer, it is necessary to keep the cowshed cool and avoid cows suffering from heat stroke.
