Heavy calcium phosphate, also known as three material phosphate fertilizer, referred to as heavy calcium. The content of available phosphorus P2O5 is between 42% and 50%. The pure product is heavy calcium phosphate in light gray granules or powder with a sour taste. Powder is easy to absorb moisture, easy to agglomerate and corrosive. After being made into pellets, it is not easy to absorb moisture and is not easy to agglomerate.
Heavy calcium phosphate is easily soluble in water and is an acidic, quick-acting phosphate fertilizer. Because this fertilizer is applied to the soil, the fixation is relatively strong, so the current production and use of the fertilizer are relatively small, accounting for only about 16% of the total output of phosphate fertilizer.
Heavy calcium phosphate is suitable for use in various crops and various types of soil. The method of application is the same as that of superphosphate. Due to the high phosphorus content of heavy calcium, its application rate is less than that of superphosphate. Because heavy calcium superphosphate contains no gypsum having a sulfur component, the effects of application of sulfur-loving crops such as potato, leguminous and cruciferous crops are inferior to those of superphosphate under the condition of equal phosphorus.
It should be noted that heavy calcium phosphate should not be used to root, nor should it be used for seed dressing. For acidic soils, it is best to apply lime once a day before application.
The problem to be noticed in the application of heavy calcium phosphate is the same as that of superphosphate.
