Prevention and treatment of common orchid diseases

There are five common diseases of orchids: 1. Rot disease. Caused by mold, the general victim is the base of the leaf, seedlings and roots. The reason is that when the blue plants are dug, the roots are cut off, the transportation is damaged, the culture soil has pyomyces, the cultivation base fertilizer is too much, the human waste is poured, and the water contains salt. In the light, Langen rots, the leaves turn red, the severe seedlings wither and the arrowheads shrink until they die. Control methods: Available "copper sulfate" and other sterile agents spray, water quality should be pure, avoid human urine. 2. Black spot. Black spots appear on the leaves and gradually expand. When they are severe, the leaves spread to the entire tissue, causing most of the leaves to be black, losing the ornamental value of the leaf shape, and causing poor orchid growth. The occurrence of this disease is mainly caused by excessive moisture and insufficient ventilation. Control methods: Strengthen ventilation, control water supply, and spray with “powder embroidery”. 3. White silk disease. It is a disease caused by germs that occurs mostly during the period of late summer and autumn. A white silky-like mycelia spreads around the base of the leaf sheath and the pseudobulb, which can cause the blue plant to die soon. Control methods: After the discovery, they should be quickly eliminated. At the same time, spray “Bordeaux solution” or “sulfuric acid nicotine solution” to sterilize. The affected blue pots must be isolated, and ventilation and light transmission should be strengthened in time. 4. Brown rot. It is a bacterial disease. It mainly occurs on new leaves and pseudobulbs. At the early stage of disease, watery stains appeared on the leaves and pseudobulbs, and turned brownish and gradually dark brown. The surface of the affected area was wrinkled; water-moist halo patterns appeared around it. The disease has developed rapidly. It is often sick in the morning and the part of the victim becomes yellowish-white at night. After one day, the entire plant or the entire pseudobulb becomes a soft rot. It mainly happens in late spring and early summer. Once found, it is necessary to immediately change soil, cut off the entire disease site, burn off, the remaining plant body incision wound with sulphur powder or mercury-disinfection water, water for a week to strengthen the blue field light, ventilation , Turn over the basin for temporary isolation. The whole plant was then sprayed with a "nicotine sulfate solution" diluted 1000 times. 5. anthrax. It is the most serious disease in Muran and Jianlan. It initially appeared yellow dots and gradually spread into dark brown round spots. Control methods: remove the diseased leaves and burn them, then spray 65% of the "Dyson Zinc" liquid, and at the same time, the blue pots should be replaced to cool, ventilated places, and rainy days should be avoided.
