Small four-wheel tractors have difficulty turning or cannot turn at all. There are two situations:
One can only go straight and it cannot turn at all. The main reason is that the differential planet gear shaft and the two planetary gears are stuck together, making the differential lose its differential action, and the tractor cannot turn and can only travel straight. Solution: First, replace the new differential planet gear shaft and the two planetary gears, and the thrust washers of the two planetary gears, and replace the gear oil.
Second, it is difficult for the tractor to keep a straight line or turn. The main reason is that the quality of the roller bearing on the steering gear assembly is not qualified. The roller is slipped off between the worm gear and the worm; also due to long-term use, the bearing wears badly or even looses, the worm wheel and the worm are stuck, and the steering wheel cannot rotate normally. Solution: Disassemble the steering gear assembly, replace the upper and lower single row ball bearings, and clean the steering gear parts and re-inject calcium-based grease. When replacing the bearing, the bearing should be carefully inspected for defects such as fine cracks. During the use of the tractor, the axial clearance of the bearing should be inspected and adjusted regularly to prevent the bearing from serious wear due to excessive clearance.
