Potted jasmine cultivation and maintenance

Jasmine is a family favorite potted aromatic flower that can also be used to smoke tea. Objectively, it is native to subtropical areas and enjoys a warm and humid climate.

Potted jasmine should choose fertile soil, soil loose, well-drained slightly acidic soil. Generally, 6 vegetable garden soils, 2 parts of rot leaf soil, and 2 poultry manures are sufficient. The jasmine can be used for many times a year to pull shoots, many buds and flowers, so the demand for fertilizer is greater. When spring shoots begin to sprout, it is advisable to apply nitrogen-based thin liquid hypertrophy once a week. When the pregnant buds are flowering, they should increase the frequency of applying two thin fertilizing liquids, mainly phosphorus and potassium fertilizers, and the concentration should be appropriately increased. Long twigs and leaves of jasmine do not bloom due to excessive nitrogen application or lack of sunlight. Therefore, when the jasmine enters a vigorous growth period, it should strictly control the amount of nitrogen fertilizer applied, and it is more sun-bathing, and the plants can be prevented from growing. After the jasmine fades, it is necessary to cut off the weak branches and leggy branches in time, leaving about 4 layers of leaves on each branch, and the rest are all cut off to facilitate the development of multiple lateral branches. The jasmine is most afraid of potting water, so it should be watered according to different weather and basin conditions. In summer, the temperature is high, the air is dry, and the jasmine grows vigorously. The water can be sprayed on the plants around the basin in the morning and in the evening. On the contrary, the watering frequency is reduced, and the water is not poured after entering the winter. At the same time, you must also pay attention to watering must be thoroughly used. Jasmine should be placed in a warm and sunny place in winter to avoid freezing damage to the plants. It is also possible to use a plastic bag to cover the entire plant, and cut a small hole at the top to also play a role in insulation, moisturizing, and freezing. Applying more phosphorus and potassium fertilizer can improve the cold resistance of potted jasmine flowers.

Potted jasmine is usually changed for about 2 years, and when the basin is changed, it can be used as base fertilizer in the bottom of the horseshoe that put some bone powder in the basin. The time of changing the basin is not appropriate for the late winter and early spring.
