In the past two months, we promoted the use of sulphur fumigation in strawberry production and achieved an ideal disease control effect. To expand the scope of application, we conducted experiments in cucumber greenhouses. The results showed that the cucumber leaves suffered from symptoms of damage, and the damage of different varieties was different.
In the early spring of the Netherlands, the cucumber was fumigated and sterilized by sulphur. On the first day, the symptoms of poisoning were not obvious, and no lesions were found on the leaves. On the second day, the lower part of the leaves began to show mild symptoms of poisoning. Some of the leaves lost chlorosis and formed white spots; the third day of the leaves was Some of the mesophylls showed obvious drug poisoning and necrotic spots. They were yellow-brown, but the veins were still green. On the fourth to sixth days, the leaf spot was dry and fragile, the leaf margins curled inwards, and the leaves showed coke-like appearance, completely losing their function. On the sixth day, investigations and statistics were conducted. A total of 85 strains were surveyed and 62 strains were affected. The damaged leaves were mostly distributed in the lower part, mainly 1-4 leaves from the ground, with an average of 8.5 leaves per plant and 2.2 damaged leaves. . The survey found that the more cucumber plants that are located near the sulfur fumigator, the more severe the damage.
After the leaves of Liaoyan Meifeng cucumber were poisoned, the leaves on both sides of the main leaf veins were destroyed and whitish along the leaf veins, gradually extending to the entire leaf, resulting in a white net-like appearance of the entire leaf. A total of 87 strains were surveyed, 67 were affected, and 160 damaged leaves accounted for 19.86% of the total.
After BC-2 cucumber leaves were poisoned, the victim leaves showed yellow-brown leaf spots on the leaves, and the leaf margins curled upwards. In severe cases, the leaf spots covered two-thirds of the entire leaves, and they were dry and fragile. A total of 84 strains were surveyed and 60 were affected. The damaged leaves were mainly 1-3 leaves near the ground. The average total number of leaves per plant was 10.8, and 2 damaged leaves accounted for 18.5% of the total number of leaves.
The results showed that different cucumber varieties have different resistance to sulfur. In the absence of tests, it is not appropriate to blindly use the sulfur fumigation device for sterilization, so as to avoid harm. After the discovery of sulfur poisoning, the amount of ventilation should be increased to eliminate the gaseous sulfur in the shed as soon as possible without affecting the normal growth of the vegetables. Can also use 0.3% -0.5% lime water or 0.3% -0.5% synthetic detergent solution to spray the leaves, there is a good mitigation effect, and at the same time should be applied fully mature organic fertilizer, improve Plant resistance.
