It is suitable for the determination of flame retardant properties of garment fabrics, decorative fabrics and tent fabrics with flame retardant requirements. It can be used by printing and dyeing industry, textile inspection department and scientific research unit.

V. Preparation before the test

1. Prepare the test sample.

2. Prepare the test gas source.

3. Connect the air supply to the instrument to ensure that there is no air leak at the joint.

4. Connect the laboratory power supply to the instrument with the supplied power cord.

5. Place the textile sample into the sample frame clamp. The lower side of the sample should be flush with the lower end of the sample holder.

Six , the operation steps

1. Close the front door of the combustion test chamber, turn on the power of the instrument (put down the “1” end of the “power switch”), and the power indicator light is on.

2. Observe the igniter position. If it is not in the initial position, click the "Back" button to return it to the initial position.

3, set the time, the instrument defaults to 12 seconds (specified on the national standard), if you do not need to change the time, you can skip this step. Ignition time setting method: first press “Setting”, you need to modify the position cursor to flash, “ "You can increase the time," "You can reduce the time."

4. Open the gas source valve (the gas flow rate should not be too large).

5. After all settings, prepare for the test, press the “Ignition” button, the solenoid valve opens, and the pulse igniter will automatically ignite after 2-3 seconds. When the ignition is difficult, you can adjust the “Flame Adjustment” button until it is ignited (clockwise direction) To decrease, the counterclockwise direction is increased). Press the ignition button to automatically ignite for 10 seconds. If the burner is not ignited at one time, press the ignition button again and then fire again.

Note: If you hear the sound of the alarm, it indicates that there is a leak in the internal pipeline of the instrument. Please turn off the power immediately, check the air circuit, and remove the air leak. Then follow the steps to test again.

6. Open the front door of the combustion test chamber and place the flame height gauge (40mm high) directly above the flame by hand. Adjust the “flame adjustment” knob to adjust the flame height to 40mm±2mm. After the flame is stable, remove the flame height gauge. The sample is suspended vertically in the center of the box together with the sample holder, and the door is closed.

7. Click the “Start” button and the burner will move to the sample suspension position (the time from the sealed container should be taken out within 1 minute). After the set time is up, the burner will automatically stop and return. The “continuation time” starts counting.

8. Observe the condition of the sample in the test chamber. At the same time of the end of the continuous combustion, press the “continued ignition stop” button; if there is no continuous combustion, directly press the “continued ignition stop” button, and the “smoldering time” will automatically time. At the end of the smoldering, press “Smoldering Stop” to record the afterburning time and smoldering time, and record the phenomenon that occurred during the test.

9. Open the front door of the combustion test box, take out the sample clamp, remove the sample, and then select the weight according to the weight per unit area of ​​the fabric to determine the damage length (see standard).

10. Click the “Clear” button, the instrument will return to the initial state, open the test box door, remove the debris from the box, open the ventilation device, and discharge the smoke and gas in the test chamber. After the discharge, close the exhaust device. This test is over.

11. If you need to continue the test, repeat steps 5-10. If not, turn off the gas source, turn off the power (put the “Power Switch” position “0” down), then unplug the power cord and end the test.

Seven, matters needing attention

1. The instrument and gas bottle storage place should be strictly prohibited from pyrotechnics, extinguish the fire, and timely extinguish the sample that is still smoldering after the test. Fire extinguishing equipment such as carbon dioxide should be installed.

2 , need to carefully check the gas pipeline before starting the machine, gas leakage is strictly prohibited. When the gas leaks, it is strictly forbidden to continue the test. The power should be cut off immediately to check the leak point.

3. Operators should wear protective clothing and protective gloves to avoid stab wounds or burns.

4. This test is carried out in a fume hood to remove harmful gases and replace fresh air immediately after the test.

5. If you encounter any problems during the test, please turn off the power first, and then re-power it after troubleshooting.

6. At the end of the test, the gas source should be turned off first, and then the power is turned off after the gas in the tube is burned out.

7. Confirm that the igniter is in the ignition position before starting the test. If not, click the “Back” button to return the igniter.
