Neurofibromatosis (NF) is primarily classified into two types: NF1 and NF2. On the other hand, NF2 is characterized by tumors on both auditory nerves and is known as central neurofibromatosis. The prevalence of NF1 is approximately 1 in 3,500 individuals. Due to visible skin manifestations, it can often be identified at an early stage. While there are clear clinical symptoms, most children with NF1 experience normal growth and development. However, some may develop abnormal tissue growth over time, which necessitates regular monitoring to prevent severe complications.
