How to effectively speed up gas production in biogas digesters?
Temperature plays a crucial role in the anaerobic digestion process, as it directly affects microbial activity and, therefore, the rate of biogas production. In normal temperature fermentation, lower temperatures can slow down the process, while higher temperatures generally lead to more efficient gas generation. To address this challenge, using a biogas starter or specialized fermentation agents can significantly improve performance, especially in low-temperature conditions.
High-quality biogas fermentation agents contain over 300 different microbial strains, with more than 200 million anaerobic bacteria per liter. These microbes are highly active, capable of reproducing rapidly—sometimes multiplying tens or even hundreds of times per minute under optimal conditions.
