Pig raising efficiency "Seven characters"

To ensure high-quality pork production, start by selecting healthy, disease-free pigs with good growth rates and high meat yields. These pigs should be slaughtered at an early stage to maintain quality and efficiency. Newly born piglets should be treated with levamisole via intramuscular injection and sprayed with trichlorfon powder mixed in water or brushed onto their bodies to eliminate internal parasites. This process should be repeated every two months to keep the herd healthy. Feed amounts should be adjusted based on the pig’s weight and the season. For pigs weighing 15–30 kg, provide 0.75–1 kg of feed daily, which may include corn flour, bran, detoxified cottonseed cake, corn, sweet potatoes, straw powder, and feed additives. Pigs between 30–50 kg should receive 1–1.5 kg per day, while those over 50 kg need more than 1.75 kg. In summer and autumn, add some green feed, and in winter and spring, increase calorie intake to help pigs stay warm. Disease prevention is essential. Vaccinate pigs against swine fever, erysipelas, and pneumonia regularly. Maintain hygiene by disinfecting the pens frequently to prevent virus spread. During hot weather, spray pigs with cool water and clean the pig house. In winter, use dry bedding, provide warm water, and cover the pens with plastic films to protect from cold. Prevent poisoning by avoiding moldy feed and rotten fruits or vegetables. Monitor the pigs’ weight gain, mental state, and appetite. Adjust feed palatability if necessary. Check feces for signs of digestive issues and adjust the diet accordingly. Conduct regular health checks and implement early disease prevention measures around the farm. Switch from traditional breeds to a new hybrid Changbai variety for better performance. Replace single feeds with balanced compound feed. Transition from mature feed to three meals a day, and increase feeding frequency—four times daily for adult pigs and six times for piglets. Avoid fixed feeding patterns; instead, mix roughage, green feed, and fine feed. Change from wet to dry feed to improve digestion and overall health. Ensure all green feed is thoroughly washed, drinking water is clean and settled, and the pig house remains spotless. Keep food troughs, equipment, and the entire environment clean. Regularly clean the pigpen and maintain hygiene standards to promote a healthy living space for the animals.
