In order to lose weight, many people even save breakfast. However, a new study published in the American Journal of Obesity shows that the richer the breakfast, the more significant the weight loss.
In order to clarify the relationship between a three-meal diet and the weight loss effect, Dr. Daniela Gakupovets, a clinical professor at Virginia Commonwealth University, and colleagues conducted a three-month period for 93 women who were overweight or obese. The study allowed them to consume 1,400 calories of food per day. Participants were randomly divided into two groups. Breakfast in group A was more abundant than in dinner, while in group B, the opposite was true.
The results showed that breakfast rich women had an average weight loss of 8.1 kilograms and a waist circumference of 7.6 centimeters, which was 4.5 kilograms more than the weight of the rich women at dinner, and 3.8 centimetres more waist circumference.
Dr. Gakopevitz said that women who had a rich breakfast had better insulin control, improved blood glucose and lipids during the day than the most affluent women at dinner. Thus, the distribution of calorie intake in three meals a day is directly related to the weight loss effect. "The breakfast is good, the lunch is full, and the dinner is less." There is indeed some truth.
