EIZO, a well-known Japanese display manufacturer, recently unveiled a new clinical review monitor called the FlexScan S2411W-M. This 24.1-inch model is part of the FlexScan-M series designed specifically for medical imaging applications. It expands on EIZO’s existing lineup, which previously included 17, 19, and 21.3-inch full-size LCD monitors. The new display is aimed at improving diagnostic accuracy and image clarity in healthcare settings.
The FlexScan S2411W-M features a high contrast ratio of up to 1000:1, allowing for better differentiation between similar shades and colors. Each RGB color channel is supported by a 10-bit look-up table, ensuring smooth and accurate color gradients across the entire screen. With a maximum brightness of 450 cd/m², the display delivers excellent visibility even in well-lit environments. Its wide viewing angles—178° both horizontally and vertically—ensure consistent image quality from various positions, making it ideal for collaborative work in clinical settings.
In addition to its advanced display capabilities, the FlexScan S2411W-M comes with ScreenManager Pro for Medical software. This tool allows users to activate a backlight protection feature that automatically turns off the display’s power when a screensaver is active. Once the user returns, the display reactivates, helping to reduce long-term energy consumption and extend the lifespan of the monitor. This feature is especially beneficial for hospitals and clinics that operate displays around the clock.
A notable feature of the FlexScan S2411W-M is the CAL Switch function, which enables users to choose from five pre-set modes for brightness and gamma curve adjustments. These modes include DICOM-CL, DICOM-BL, Custom, sRGB, and Text mode. A single button on the front panel makes it easy to switch between these settings, providing flexibility for different imaging needs and user preferences.
EIZO has been a leader in high-end display technology since its founding in 1968. Based in Japan, the company has established a strong global presence, with sales networks in 33 countries worldwide. In the previous year alone, EIZO reported a revenue of approximately RMB 5 billion. As the demand for high-quality medical imaging continues to grow, EIZO's latest release reinforces its position as a trusted name in the industry. - From: China Medicine 123 Network
