Ensure there is enough space between layers to allow steam to pass freely. Connect the distillation tube to the cooler, maintaining a height difference where the inlet is higher than the outlet. As steam rises, it carries the ginger oil with it. The steam and oil mixture then enters the cooler, where it condenses into an oil-water emulsion. 5. **Separation**: The oil-water mixture flows into the separator, where it settles and separates naturally. The top layer consists of ginger oil, while the bottom is water. Using a separator, the water is removed, leaving pure ginger oil. The yield of this method typically results in 3 to 4 kg of ginger oil per 100 kg of ginger powder. This efficient and cost-effective approach not only reduces waste but also enhances the profitability of ginger production.
