Summer cows prevent wind and heat 7

The heat resistance of dairy cows is worse than that of cold resistance. In particular, high-yielding dairy cows have higher requirements on the temperature, with 5~25°C being appropriate. When the temperature exceeds 28°C, the cows will have obvious heat stroke reactions. The specific performance is: appetite Decreased, shortness of breath, rapid pulse, increased body temperature, cows' absorption and utilization of calcium, phosphorus, and nutrients decreased, resulting in decreased milk production, reduced resistance to disease, and serious deaths due to limb and leg disease. When the summer comes, the following seven aspects should be taken to prevent cows from suffering from heat stroke:

First, building a barn to science

The barn construction should be east-west, ventilation windows should be set up in the north and south, and materials with good insulation properties should be selected. The floor of the barn should be about 15 cm to 25 cm higher than the outside, and the wall height should not be less than 3 meters. The top of the barn should be equipped with a vent hole. Conditional electric fans can be installed. Ventilation windows and electric fans can be opened at the same time in high temperature to reduce the temperature and humidity in the barn. In addition, a layer of asbestos can be placed on the top of the barn to make it 10 cm to 20 cm in space with the ceiling of the barn, which can provide better insulation.

Second, the surrounding environment should be shaded

Properly planting some trees around the barn can reduce the radiation of the sun, but the trees should not be too dense so as not to affect ventilation. At the same time, a sunshade shed is built around the front and rear of the cowshed, playground, and feeding trough, with a height of 3~4 meters as appropriate to reduce the radiation of the sun. For the farm-raised cows, the playground is selected in the shade.

Third, spray water cooling to be timely

Cowsheds with a certain amount of dairy farms can be equipped with a roof spray system to keep the roof moist and free from water flow. It is economical and practical to reduce the temperature in the cowshed by reducing the temperature on the roof of the cowshed. It also avoids the increase in humidity. This is better than the house spray effect. When the temperature reaches above 35°C, the cow body can be washed with cold water at noon.

Fourth, daily drinking water should be sufficient

In the summer, the cow's milk can't cut off the water. It's best to let the cows drink warm water at 10°C, and ensure that the drinking water is clean and fresh. At the same time, some salt can be added in an appropriate amount. If the diet is too dry, add a certain amount of water to increase feed intake.

Fifth, the ratio of food should be reasonable

1. To feed more high-quality forage grass, carrots and other green and juicy feed, and appropriate feed for some gluten-like feeds, in order to facilitate the cooling of cows.

2. Increase the amount of soybean cake and corn in the compound feed of cows to increase the protein content to 4%; add cottonseeds to increase the fat content to 5% to 7%. In addition, appropriate amounts of sodium bicarbonate, potassium carbonate, magnesium oxide, etc., to make sodium, potassium, magnesium in the dietary dry matter content of 0.4% to 0.6%, 1.3% to 1.6% and 0.31% to 0.35%, to make up Loss of minerals due to increased breathing and draining.

Sixth, feeding methods should be adjusted.

Feeding cows in summer should try to avoid hot noon during the noon, and should fully utilize the characteristics of low temperature after 4~6 o'clock in the morning and after 9 o'clock in the evening, and feed during this time. With the increase of temperature, the number of feedings should be appropriately increased so that less feeding can be added to prevent the feeds from accumulating and spoiling for a long time, thus ensuring the quality of feed intake for dairy cows.

VII. Disinfection to kill mosquitoes and flies

Strict implementation of the regular disinfection system, in the summer season with 5% of Lycopene aqueous solution once to 2 times thorough disinfection. Remove manure in time to ensure the cleanliness of the cattle bed and aisle in the barn, regularly spray anti-mosquito and flies disinfectants that have no effect on the cows and the surrounding environment, eliminate interference from mosquitoes and flies, reduce disease transmission opportunities, and ensure the health of dairy cows.
